In the latest twist in the saga that has been Haason Reddick‘s Jets holdout, the star pass-rusher — whose former agency, CAA, dropped him last week — has hired Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha as his new agents.
“We look forward to working with the Jets to get this resolved as soon as possible,” Rosenhaus said in a statement, via Adam Schefter of ESPN. “Haason would like to be a New York Jet for years to come and our goal is to make that happen.”
Rosenhaus will attend Monday night’s Jets-Bills game, and plans to meet with team brass before the game to start the process of ending the holdout, per Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

CAA dropped Reddick two days after Jets owner Woody Johnson urged the pass rusher to end his holdout and report to the team.
“When [Reddick] gets here, he’ll find a very welcome locker room, and he’ll be able to fit right in, but he’s gotta get here first,” Johnson said last Tuesday. “So, Haason, get in your car, drive down 95, and come to the New York Jets.
“We can meet you and give you an escort right into the building, and you’ll fit right in, and you’ll love it here, and you’re gonna feel welcome, and you’re gonna accomplish great things with us.”
Reddick began his holdout in June when he did not report the Jets’ mandatory minicamp, a decision that SNY’s NFL Insider Connor Hughes said came from the player and not his representation.
In mid-September, Hughes reported that there had been some recent conversations between Jets general manager Joe Douglas and Reddick’s then-agent Tory Dandy. However, from Hughes’ understanding, nothing really came of those talks.
Reddick last spoke with Douglas on April 1, the day he held his introductory news conference after the trade with the Philadelphia Eagles became official.
