Another twist for Georgia football vs. Georgia Tech: 2025 game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Georgia football’s rivalry game with Georgia Tech again will have a unique twist in 2025.

The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will play on Saturday Nov. 29, 2025 in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The game is being shifted from Georgia’s Tech’s nearby campus at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

“We always enjoy playing in a first-class venue like Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” Georgia athletic director Josh Brooks said in a statement. “This move will only enhance the long-standing tradition of the Georgia-Georgia tech game and will provide another outstanding event for our fans.”

This year’s game is played on Friday of Thanksgiving week in Athens on Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.

Georgia opened this season against Clemson in Mercedes-Benz Stadium and played regular season games there under coach Kirby Smart against Oregon and North Carolina.

The 2027 Georgia game against Georgia Tech will return to the Yellow Jackets campus.
