Following a thrilling win over a top-5 Ohio State at Autzen Stadium, the No. 2 Oregon football team will hit the road on a short week when it takes on Purdue Friday in another Big Ten game.
The game is set to kick off at 5 p.m.
“I’m proud of the way our guys performed and now trying to get it turned around really quickly and get ready for Purdue on a short week,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said.
Here are some highlights from Lanning during his weekly press conference Monday night.

Oregon’s Dan Lanning on late game substitution penalty in win over Ohio State
Oregon’s late illegal substitution penalty on Ohio State’s final drive Saturday night has been the subject of deep conversation since the Ducks defeated the Buckeyes, 32-31.
With 10 seconds left and the Buckeyes on the Oregon 43-yard-line, the Ducks were seemingly late to substitute, and had 12 players on the field when Ohio State ran their play, a Will Howard pass broken up by Jabbar Muhammad.
The result burned four precious seconds off the clock and only moved Ohio State up five yards to the Oregon 38-yard-line, still outside of manageable field goal range.
When asked whether the penalty was committed on purpose, Lanning didn’t say yes, but didn’t necessarily say no, either.
“We spend an inordinate amount of time on situations,” Lanning said. “There’s some situations that don’t show up very often in college football, but this is one that obviously was something that we worked on, so you can see the result.”
With just six seconds left, Howard didn’t have enough time to scramble and slide into field goal range, with the clock narrowly running out as he slid.
you NEED to watch how genius this is 👀
