Oct. 15—HILLDALE — The Hilldale Hornets were known as a team that likes to run the ball heading into their showdown with the Ada Cougars in a Week 6 matchup.
However, junior quarterback Dawson Fields — in his second game back from a season-long injury — threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns to lead Hilldale to a wild 47-35 upset of the Cougars Friday night at Hornet Field.

Hilldale also won the turnover battle 4-1.

Boyles said he believes the district race could go down to the wire.
“The message for the team was basically, continue to focus on us and keep taking it a week at a time. Our district still has several big games that have to be played and we need to control our fate,” he said.
The Cougars led 14-6 after running back Caron Richardson capped a nine-play, 69-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown run at the 1:05 mark of the second quarter. That march was…
