Penn State fan took advantage of USC fan experience in brilliant fashion

USC allows fans to purchase the opportunity to run out onto the field with the team for the pregame entrance. What USC doesn’t do is check to see what school you are a fan of when you purchase that opportunity. Perhaps that is about to change after a Penn State fan exploited the activity to his advantage.

Jordan Mott, a real estate agent in California, paid for the chance for he and his wife to run out on the field during the pregame team entrance last weekend before Penn State’s road game at USC. As Mott explained in a post on his Instagram account, Mott did not expect to be allowed to participate in the running on the field once USC officials realized he was a Penn State fan. Apparently, this was the first time an opposing fan took advantage of this activity.

Mott and his wife followed the USC fans who paid to run on the field behind the Trojans, and conveniently found himself coming on the field ahead of Penn State’s players making their way to the field. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

USC varies the price for fans to run on the field by the game, with Penn State bringing in the maximum price of $1,800. USC will charge $1,450 for its next two home games against Rutgers and Nebraska and $1,800 when it hosts Notre Dame later this season.

It seems this was worth every penny for Mott, a self-proclaimed diehard Penn State fan who must have been thrilled to see his beloved Nittany Lions make their first trip to Los Angeles for a regular-season game since 1991.

And the best part yet is Mott got to have this experience and then watch his team come out on top in an overtime thriller. Not a bad afternoon in LA.
