Notre Dame traditionally has thrived because of its defense, and this season is no exception. At a time when football is becoming friendlier towards offense, the Irish seem to buck this tradition. That’s not to say the offense isn’t good, especially on the ground, but the defense always seems to be the strong unit. Of course, one could chalk that up to the team being made in the image of Marcus Freeman.
When taking a look at Georgia Tech’s offense, you’ll notice there aren’t many glaring weaknesses. While far from the best offense in the country, this isn’t a unit opposing defenses can take any plays off against. The Irish might have a lot of defensive talent, but it won’t mean a thing if they take it easy on the Yellow Jackets.
