Luther Burden III seems likely to go.
The star Missouri football wide receiver was listed as “probable” on the Tigers’ first SEC-mandated availability report of the week Wednesday evening, meaning he is expected to suit up for their game against Auburn on Saturday in Columbia.
Burden left the Tigers’ game against UMass on Saturday in Amherst, Massachusetts, in the third quarter after taking a hard hit while he tried to bring down a high pass. He went into the medical tent, and was shown holding his left shoulder on the ESPN2 broadcast.
He exited the tent soon after but did not return to the game. During an in-game interview on the broadcast between the third and the fourth quarter, Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said Burden will “be fine.”
Looks like the coach was right.
Also on the Mizzou availability report is starting outside linebacker Triston Newson, who was listed as questionable. During his weekly press conference Tuesday, Drinkwitz appeared optimistic that MU would have Newson back and available to play in time for the Auburn matchup.
Running back Nate Noel, who missed Saturday’s game with back tightness, also is listed as questionable on the report.

During the Tigers’ portions of practice Tuesday that were made available to local media, Burden and Newson were in green no-contact jerseys. Noel was not in a no-contact jersey for the observable portions of practice.
