Updated SEC Availability Report ahead of Texas A&M vs. Mississippi State

.

Ahead of Texas A&M’s (5-1, 3-0 SEC) Week 8 road test against Mississippi State (1-5, 0-3 SEC) on Saturday afternoon, the first SEC-mandated availability report made its way to the public on Wednesday night, bringing a dose of positive, and potentially bad news for both squads.

Early on Wednesday, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko further confirmed that starting quarterback Conner Weigman is healthy and back to full strength after his first start in nearly a month in the win against Missouri. At the same time, the latest injury report revealed that center TJ Shanahan’s name is off the list, as the sophomore is slated to be available this weekend.

However, the report also revealed that freshman wide receiver Terry Bussey, who led the Aggies in receiving yards against Missouri in Week 6, is now questionable with an undisclosed injury, giving him a 50% chance to play. Equally surprising, third thing quarterback Jaylen Henderson is doubtful to be active for the game, giving him a 25% availability odds.

For the Bulldogs, six players are confirmed out, while three defenders are either questionable or doubtful to play.

Texas A&M will face Mississippi State on the road on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 3:15 p.m. CT. The game will air on the SEC Network.
