WASHINGTON — Here are three takeaways from Class 2A-I top-ranked Washington’s 35-28 overtime victory against No. 5 Marlow on Thursday night at Reed Field.

Washington 35, Marlow 28 (OT)
Player of the game: Creed Barrett. The Washington freshman quarterback finished 20-of-28 passing for 226 yards and three touchdowns. He also had three carries for 26 yards and scored on a 10-yard run in overtime.
Top moment: Marlow (5-2, 3-1 District 2A-I-2), which trailed 21-0 at halftime, faced a fourth-and-goal at the Washington 11 in overtime when senior quarterback Blayd Harris dropped back to pass. Harris scanned the field and let it fly but was intercepted by senior defensive back Kash Guthmueller, sealing the Warriors’ second home overtime victory of the season. The other was against Sulphur.
Case Alexander, Nate Roberts each score for Washington. The star tight ends each played well and had one touchdown for the Warriors (7-0, 4-0). Alexander, a sophomore who holds offers from Iowa State, North Texas, OU and Tulsa, had six catches for 78 yards. Roberts, a senior Ohio State commit, had four receptions for 59 yards.
