Ball State football is back on the road for its last nonconference game of the 2024 season.
The Cardinals (2-4, 1-2 MAC) will take on Vanderbilt (4-2, 2-1 SEC) on Saturday. The Commodores are enjoying a renaissance season in coach Clark Lea’s fourth year at the helm, highlighted by a shocking upset victory over then-No. 1 Alabama two weeks ago.
Ball State just snapped a four-game losing skid and clinched its first conference win with a 37-35 win at Kent State last weekend. The Cardinals have struggled in nonconference road games this season, though, losing 62-0 at Miami (FL) on Sep. 14 and 63-7 at James Madison on Sep. 28.
