‘Got to have big dreams’: Indiana football’s win over Nebraska a big step on decades-long climb to relevance

BLOOMINGTON — Some fans scrolling through results from Saturday might do a double-take when they see the final score of Indiana football’s game against Nebraska.

Or as running back Justice Ellison put it: ”It definitely will make them choke on their water a little bit.”

The No. 18 Hoosiers (7-0; 4-0 Big Ten) trounced their Big Ten rival in a 56-7 win that matched their biggest margin of victory against a conference opponent in program history. It also put them one win away from matching their best ever start.

Would that get him in trouble with coach Curt Cignetti?

“We definitely take it one day at a time and one game at a time, but you got to have big dreams,” Ellison said, with a smile.
