The Oregon Ducks are the new unanimous No. 1 team in the nation.

Then-No. 2 Oregon (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) kept its perfect record Friday night with a 35-0 win against Purdue, something previous No. 1 Texas was unable to do Saturday in a 30-15 loss to Georgia at home.

The payoff came Sunday morning when both the US LBM Coaches Poll and The Associated Press media poll moved the Ducks into the top spot of the respective polls, with Oregon receiving 51 of the 53 first-place votes in the coaches poll and 59 of the 61 first-place votes in the AP poll.

Georgia (6-1) moved up two spots to No. 2 in the coaches poll, followed by No. 3 Penn State (6-0), No. 4 Ohio State (5-1), No. 5 Miami (7-0), No. 6 Texas (6-1), No. 7 LSU (6-1), No. 8 Tennessee (6-1), No. 9 Clemson (6-1) and No. 10 Iowa State (7-0).
