Dunlap high school football recruit attends Illinois-Michigan game

Mack Sutter made his back to Champaign this past weekend.

The four-star Dunlap tight end, part of the class of 2026, was at Memorial Stadium for the Fighting Illini’s 21-7 win over Michigan on Saturday. He was featured in a Rivals video with another four-star Illinois recruit JC Anderson of Mt. Zion, posted Saturday night on X.com, formerly Twitter.

Sutter has both Illinois and Michigan in his top 12 finalists. This also marked his second trip to the Illinois sidelines, making an unofficial campus visit for the Sept. 14 win against Central Michigan. Sutter this season also has visited Ohio State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Iowa and Alabama.

The 6-foot-6, 225-pound junior made the switch back to quarterback on Friday in Dunlap’s 39-14 loss to Morton, when starting QB John Bargen missed the game with a knee injury. The Eagles (5-3) host Metamora (6-2) on Friday to wrap up the regular season.
