LSU pushing for top spot in SEC standings entering Week 9

Week 8 didn’t feature a ton of chaos around the SEC, but we did see a few results that will shake up the top of the standings.

LSU and Texas A&M took care of business to varying degrees, and when they meet on Saturday in College Station, it will be for the top spot in the SEC. That’s because they’re the sole unbeaten teams in league play after Texas fell at home to Georgia in the marquee matchup of the day.

The Tigers have a major opportunity ahead of them in Week 9 and could gain the inside track to reach the SEC title game. In the meantime, here’s how the SEC standings look following Week 8.
