20 signs you’re a die-hard Michigan football fan

Michigan football is the winningest program in college football history.

And, thanks in large part to former head coach and alumnus Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines just enjoyed their most successful run in a generation.

What a run it was from 2021-23: three consecutive wins over Ohio State to axe the streak, three straight Big Ten Conference titles, three straight College Football Playoff appearances, and finally, the ultimate victory for the ultimate victors!

Michigan’s ride as defending college football champion hasn’t been as smooth with more than a dozen players from the title team off to the NFL, and major staff turnover. Now, it’s coach Sherrone Moore’s time to make his imprint on the program.

Now, it’s time to honor the pride of Ann Arbor and reveal the 20 signs that make you a die-hard Wolverines football fan.

1. You wake up every morning to “Hail to the Victors” as your alarm.

Extra points if it’s also your ring tone. And text tone. Or any other tone, for that matter.

2. Your dog’s name is “Jim.”

That would include “Harbs” or “J.J.” and the like.

3. You won’t even wear red or green during the holidays.

If red and/or green are supposed to be “festive,” then bah humbug.

4. You are 100% sure that Michigan would’ve destroyed Nebraska in 1997.

Co-champions? Let’s face it: Everyone knows the Cornhuskers got lucky that year and the coaches just wanted to honor Tom Osborne’s final season as Nebraska coach. Yeah. That’s right. Do something about it.

How about another Heisman moment. Michigan cornerback Charles Woodson, races away from OSU’s Scott Fulton during Woodson’s second-quarter punt return for a touchdown against OSU on Saturday, Nov 22, 1997, at Michigan Stadium. Michigan went on to win, 20-14, and earn a trip to the Rose Bowl.
