Arkansas football will try to bounce back from its first blowout defeat of the season and turn the tide on its recent rivalry with Mississippi State on the road today in Starkville, Mississippi.
The Razorbacks (4-3, 2-2) have lost nine of their past 12 games against the Bulldogs (1-6, 0-4), including each of the last two meetings. Last season, Mississippi State came into Fayetteville and beat Arkansas 7-3 in a game that cost offensive coordinator Dan Enos his job and essentially ended the Hogs’ hopes of making a bowl game.
A win over Mississippi State would put Arkansas just one victory away from postseason eligibility. The Razorbacks are coming off a 34-10 loss to LSU last weekend, while the Bulldogs fell at home to Texas A&M 34-24 and have lost six straight games.
Arkansas will be without leading rusher Ja’Quinden Jackson on Saturday, who re-aggravated an ankle injury last week against the Tigers.
