Four Iowa players listed out vs. Northwestern

As the Iowa Hawkeyes (4-3, 2-2 Big Ten) prepare for their Homecoming matchup versus the Northwestern Wildcats (3-4, 1-3 Big Ten) from Kinnick Stadium, they will be without four players according to their Week 9 game day availability report.

Junior tight end Addison Ostrenga, junior offensive lineman Beau Stephens, sophomore defensive back John Nestor, and junior linebacker Kyle Fisher are all listed out for today’s game.

For Ostrenga, this will be the third consecutive game in which he has been listed out. Stephens’ injury also keeps him out for the second straight game. No other Hawkeyes were listed on the availability report.

In terms of Northwestern, the Wildcats will be without running back Caleb Komolafe and defensive lineman Dylan Roberts. Northwestern wide receivers AJ Henning and Bryce Kirtz and offensive lineman Josh Thompson are listed as questionable.

Having Henning listed as questionable is significant, as he was taken off the field during last week’s 23-3 loss against Wisconsin with an undisclosed lower-body injury.

Henning’s three touchdowns and 357 receiving yards place him as the leading scoring receiver and second-best in receiving yards behind Bryce Kirtz.

Northwestern’s availability report lists WR AJ Henning and Bryce Kirtz as questionable. RG Josh Thompson still questionable.

Game time for the clash between the Hawkeyes and Wildcats is set for 2:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on the Big Ten…
