The District 10 football regular season ends with big performances

The District 10 football regular season came to a close for most teams on Friday with a majority of the district looking forward to the playoffs.

Seniors had one last chance to put together a big game in their careers, while underclassmen had a chance to set the tone for next year.

From big passing games to several players scoring three or four different ways, it was another exciting night of football around District 10.

District 10 football top performers

Joe Furgiuele, Conneaut

Ran for a school-record 404 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-0 win over Girard. He also went over 2,000 all-purpose yards for the season.

Ben Easler, Conneaut

Went over 1,000 passing yards for the season in a 35-0 win over Girard.

Rylan Harwood, Seneca

Ran for two touchdowns and threw for one in a 41-22 win over Maplewood.

Dominic Buscemi, Seneca

Had six catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns and he returned a fumble 55 yards for a touchdown in a 41-22 win over Maplewood.

Kyle Jordan, Maplewood

Threw for 111 yards and one touchdown and ran for one touchdown in a 41-22 loss to Seneca.

Blayze Myers, McDowell

Threw for 117 yards and two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown in a 35-33 loss to St. Francis (N.Y.). He also became the all-time passer in McDowell history.

Stephon Porter, McDowell

Ran for 134 yards and one touchdown in a 35-33 loss to St. Francis (N.Y.).

Nolan Carey, Corry

Passed for 228 yards and three touchdowns in a 26-21 win over Oil City.

Mason Savitz, Corry

Had eight catches for 74 yards and one touchdown in a 26-21 win over Oil City.

Cole Findlay, Oil City

Threw for two touchdowns in a 26-21 loss to Corry.

Heath Betza, Harbor Creek

Threw for one touchdown and ran for one touchdown…
