Arkansas football hits the road this weekend to face Mississippi State and its cowbells in a critical matchup for the Hogs’ hopes of playing in a bowl game.
The Razorbacks (4-3, 2-2 SEC) would need just one more victory if they can knock off the Bulldogs (1-6, 0-4) on Saturday, and there’s a winnable game against Louisiana Tech remaining on the schedule. If Arkansas loses to Mississippi State, the Hogs will need at least one upset against either Ole Miss, Texas or Missouri.
Arkansas is coming off its first blowout loss of the season, a 34-10 home defeat at the hands of LSU. Mississippi State has lost six straight games and fell to Texas A&M 34-24 last weekend.

The Hogs are 3-9 in their past 12 games against the Bulldogs, but they have experienced some success in recent trips to Starkville, Mississippi. Arkansas is 2-2 in its last four road games against Mississippi State, including Sam Pittman’s first career victory.
