The Oklahoma Sooners had an improved offensive performance on Saturday against Ole Miss, but it still wasn’t enough. The Rebels made adjustments to keep the Sooners from moving the ball and OU’s offense stalled in the second half.
But it was a better team effort than what we’d seen the previous two weeks against Texas and South Carolina when Oklahoma combined for 12 points and made just one trip into the red zone.
But the defense let them down this week, allowing Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart to throw for 311 yards and a touchdown on 73% completion.
That’s the way the season has gone for Oklahoma. They haven’t been able to put together a complete performance in SEC play. Now at 4-4 and 1-4 in the SEC, the Sooners will welcome Maine to town before they finish the season with Missouri, Alabama, and LSU.
Can the Oklahoma Sooners finish the season strong and find themselves in a bowl game? Before we begin to look ahead, here’s a look back at some of the best photos from Oklahoma’s trip to Oxford, Miss.
