Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola confident in future following loss

Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola (15) looks to hand off during the second half of the NCAA football game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. Ohio State won 21-17.

Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola remains upbeat about the program despite a frustrating 21-17 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday.

Raiola performed admirably against a stout Buckeyes defense. He went 21-of-32 on the afternoon, throwing for 152 yards and an interception. He averaged 4.8 yards per pass, with a 33-yard pass being the longest of the afternoon. The Ohio State defensive line gave him trouble, but he was able to make several big plays over the course of the afternoon.

This marks two straight losses for Nebraska as they look to regroup next week against UCLA. The freshman is feeling comfortable with where the program is despite the loss.

“I couldn’t be more proud of where we’re headed.”

The program is still searching for that elusive sixth win, and playing the Bruins next week could give them that opportunity. Next week’s game is also the beginning of a crucial stretch, with Wisconsin and Iowa rounding out the year.
