Fan vote: Who has been Greater Lansing’s high school football MVP so far

The regular season is now in the books and the playoffs are about to begin.

And there were a number of players in Greater Lansing who put up big numbers while contributing to their team having success.

Which area standout made the biggest mark in the regular season? You can weigh in by voting for the MVP of the regular season in Greater Lansing. Below is a look at 12 players from Greater Lansing who have put up big numbers based on stats provided by area teams throughout the season.

Voting is open until 6 p.m. Thursday.

Kory Amachree, Haslett

Before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 8, the Division I prospect had 153 carries for 1,102 yards and 18 touchdowns and helped the Vikings to a runner-up finish in the CAAC Red.

Cason Carswell, Mason

The senior quarterback and Western Illinois commit completed 121 of 185 passes for 1,417 yards and 21 touchdowns and ran for 222 yards and four TDs while leading the Bulldogs to a sixth straight CAAC Red title and a 7-2 regular season.

Jayden Colby, Leslie

Colby has been one of the area’s top receivers and contributed to Leslie winning the Cascades Conference title and going 8-1 in the regular season. Through eight games he had 909 receiving yards and eight touchdowns and 364 rushing yards and seven TDs. Colby also had three interceptions.

Jackson Conn, Ithaca

The senior quarterback completed 90 of 153 passes for 1,520 yards and 23 touchdowns and rushed for 681 yards and 16 scores while leading the Yellowjackets to a league title and 9-0 regular season.

Joel Cranmore, Leslie

The sophomore quarterback led the area in passing yards and helped the Blackhawks to an 8-1 regular season and the Cascades Conference title. Through eight games, Cranmore had thrown for 1,854 yards and 26 touchdowns.
