With five straight losses, UCF Knights football hasn’t given fans much to cheer about recently.
But maybe this statistic offers a little hope.
The Knights (3-5) are a perfect 7-0 in their annual Space Games and looking to make it 8-0 when they take on Arizona this week. The contest is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bounce House.
Neither team has won since September. The Wildcats (3-5) have dropped four in a row.
Inspired by NASA’s Artemis program, which aims for a sustainable human presence on the moon, UCF’s Mission VIII space uniforms feature black, gray, white and Canaveral blue colors.
UCF’s uniforms for the 2024 Space Game pay homage to NASA’s efforts to send humans back to the moon and beyond.
Two of the many features: The Citronauts will don black helmets with a Canaveral blue stack logo containing speckles to represent lunar dust. The cuffs on the black jerseys display constellations Orion and Pegasus.
