UWF football prepares for conference road game at Erskine College in South Carolina

It’s the final stretch for the University of West Florida football team’s 2024 regular season.

With just three games remaining for the Argos, all of which are Gulf South Conference matchups, everyone looks to be more crucial than the last. UWF was not one of the 10 teams in consideration for the NCAA in its first regional rankings for the Division II playoffs. Three more wins, including against now-No. 1 Valdosta State in the latest AFCA poll, could change things.

It might be hard to crack the latter poll with a win after this weekend, but also consider it could push the Argos to a five-game win streak if all goes well this weekend.

While those polls don’t necessarily reflect who’s in and who’s out of the Division II playoffs, it certainly never hurts a team’s confidence to be in the national-ranking talks.
