NORMAN — OU football is moving the game time for its Saturday contest against Maine.
Due to inclement weather, the Sooners announced Friday they will kickoff their game against Maine at 11 a.m. Saturday instead of the originally slated 1:30 p.m. kick time.
“Some weather models show a higher risk of severe weather beginning earlier in the afternoon,” the announcement read on OU football’s official X account, “which could complicate our ability to complete the game. The earlier start is also intended to allow everyone to enjoy the game and travel home safely before conditions worsen.”
The game will mark the Sooners’ third consecutive morning kick. OU announced Wednesday the game was sold out.
The contest will still air on both ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
