Fans livid on social media after Iowa ran over Badgers

We are all turning the clocks back early Sunday morning.

But Wisconsin’s rushing defense appeared to fall behind by more than a few decades Saturday night.

“This was your worst nightmare,” Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell said after the Badgers surrendered 329 yards rushing while being completely physically dismantled by Iowa, 42-10.

Even though Kaleb Johnson had 135 yards and three touchdowns and three other players had at least 56 yards on the ground for Iowa, you only had to watch one quarter of this game to see UW needs their upcoming bye week in a rather severe way.

The offense wasn’t exactly sharp either as quarterback Brayden Locke was 15 of 37 for 137 yards and two interceptions. After taking an early 3-0 lead, the Hawkeyes scored 28 points before UW finally answered.

It was a pretty offensive effort, as noted by frustrated fans:

I’m not mentally prepared for Wisconsin to be the new Purdue/Indiana/Rutgers of Big Ten football.

Bullied on both lines of scrimmage. #Badgers

Mike Tressel just REFUSING to load the box and bring a LB down to the LOS is criminal. #Badgers coordinators get stuck into a game plan and refuse to get out of it. This is the worst.

A quarterback who is unreliable, a running game that can’t run, and a defense that is leaking like a sieve. Iowa is taking Wisconsin to the woodshed

It’s going to be a long bye week for the #Badgers … who have to figure out how to not get embarrassed by Oregon
