The NCAA college football season is heading towards the finish line, and teams like Notre Dame are wondering where they will place in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2024 season.
It won’t be surprising at all if Oregon gets the top spot, as they’ve looked the part so far this year. Plenty of other teams like Ohio State, Georgia, Miami, Texas, Penn State and the Irish should all be ranked highly as well.
There field after that is a much bigger question, although you have to believe that Indiana has a legit shot to be included in the top-12. Find out below when you can expect to find out the first College Football Playoff rankings of this season.

How many teams are in CFP 2024?
For the first time, there will be 12 teams participating in the College Football Playoffs. There are five automatic bids for each of the Power Four conference champions and one to the highest-ranked Group of Five champion. The remaining seven slots are given to the seven at-large teams.
