Q&A with Mack Sutter: Dunlap football star is one of the nation’s top recruits
“@PennStateFball next weekend!” Sutter posted to his nearly 2,500 followers.
Penn State, which is coming off a 20-13 loss to Ohio State, is one of Sutter’s top 12 finalists, having announced that list in early August.
This will be Sutter’s fifth unofficial campus visit to a Big Ten school this fall. He’s been to Illinois twice, Ohio State and Iowa within the last three months. His other campus visits have included Ole Miss, Auburn and Alabama.
Sutter’s junior season ended Friday night with Dunlap’s 21-20 loss to Oak Law Richards in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs. The 6-foot-6, 225-pound tight end had a 19-yard touchdown reception in the loss. The Eagles finished the 2024 campaign at 6-4 overall and 4-3 in Mid-Illini Conference play, which tied for third in the standings.
