Vote for Landmark Fine Homes boys high school athlete of the week for Oct. 27-Nov. 2

The Oklahoman’s fall sport boys athletes of the week poll for Oct. 27-Nov. 2 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

Last week’s winner was Oklahoma Christian School cross country senior Logan Austin.

Voting is open until noon Saturday. Here are this week’s nominees:

Rival Fields, So., Cashion football: He had 13 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 49 yards and a score as Cashion defeated Hinton 34-13.

Dominic Matthias, Fr., Moore cross country: He had a strong performance in his first Class 6A state meet, placing third in 15:35.22.

Bryan Medrano, Jr., Newcastle football: After nearly being iced late in the game, the Racers kicker hit a game-winning 34-yard field goal with one second left to push Newcastle to a 24-21 win over McGuinness.

David McComb, Sr., Edmond Memorial football: The Kansas football commit went 26-of-36 passing for 273 yards and a touchdown in Edmond Memorial’s 61-28 win over Broken Arrow.

Tanner Perry, Sr., Pauls Valley football: He set a single-game school record with 366 passing yards in Pauls Valley’s 48-28 victory against Star Spencer. Perry was efficient, completing 22 of 27 passes and tossing four touchdowns.

Shawn Powell, Sr., John Marshall football: Powell rushed for 100 yards and scored four total touchdowns, while also contributing defensively with an interception, seven tackles and a pass breakup in the Bears’ 52-6 win over Western Heights.

Rodgerick Sloan, Jr., Putnam City football: He carried the ball 30 times for 192 yards and a touchdown to lead visiting Putnam City past Southmoore.

Ethan Stuart, Sr., Deer Creek cross country: He helped Deer Creek claim its second straight Class 6A state title and 11th since 2006. Stuart had a team-best time of 15:49.15…
