Florida moves back up in SEC poll despite loss to Georgia

Florida might have lost against Georgia in Week 10, but the Gators received a small bump in 247Sports’ SEC poll on Monday.

The Gators moved back into a tie for the No. 11 spot in the conference with the Arkansas Razorbacks. The 247Sports SEC beat writers put Florida in the same spot two weeks ago, but Arkansas moved up during the Gators’ second bye week.

A 63-31 beating at the hands of Ole Miss knocked Arky back down in the rankings, and Florida’s defense continues to keep games against the best teams in the conference close, even after star quarterback DJ Lagway went down with a hamstring injury in the first half.

Georgia and Texas remain on top of the poll rankings, followed by Tennessee and LSU, which both moved ahead of Texas A&M this week. Alabama, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt all stayed put to round out the top half of the conference.
