LSU welcomes Alabama to town on Saturday night. It’s another episode in what’s become of the SEC’s most entertaining series.
Alabama leads the all-time series 56-27-5. Entering 2019, Alabama won eight in a row over LSU. Joe Burrow and company put a stop to that in 2019 and Jayden Daniels led the Tigers to another victory in 2022. The eight-game win streak from 2012-18 isn’t Bama’s only period of dominance over LSU. The Tide had an 11-game win streak from 1971-81, the longest streak in the series.
This year’s meeting will have a new flavor. Nick Saban no longer roams Alabama’s sideline — its Kalen DeBoer’s show now.
DeBoer has Alabama at 6-2 in year one. That includes a major victory over Georgia but on the opposite side of the spectrum, it includes a loss to Vanderbilt.
The winner of Saturday’s contest will be in prime position for a playoff run while the loser will have to find something else to play for down the stretch.
Here are five things to know about the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Only Ole Miss and Arkansas have better explosive passing rates with 22.8% of Alabama’s passing plays going for 15 yards or more. Milroe will take his shots and he ranks fifth in the conference…
