Florida State football continued preparation on a rainy Wednesday morning for its road trip to face No. 8 Notre Dame.
The Seminoles amped up the noise in the indoor practice facility ahead of playing in one of the toughest road environments in college football. Head coach Mike Norvell said it was a competitive day of practice and he focused on communication, especially with the noise expected at Notre Dame.
“I thought it was a good competitive day. Got thirds down, which is obviously a huge emphasis on improvement,” Norvell said. “We got to continue to work to be as detailed as precise, make sure that the communication especially with being on the road and the crowd noise on all the different elements, and then go out there and play to the best of our ability.”
Here are three things to know from practice.
1. A rough showing for the quarterbacks, Seminoles offense

It hasn’t been the strongest week for the Seminoles offense, especially in preparation for arguably the best defense it’s faced this season in Notre Dame.
Both Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek again had some strong moments with some impressive downfield passes. However, there were multiple stretches throughout practice where passes weren’t completed for either poor throws or dropped passes.
Glenn did well with downfield passes as his accuracy and placement were very good at times on contested deep shots. There were some struggles when facing the defense in team competition as the coverage was strong and Glenn faced a lot of pressure.
Similar to Glenn, Kromenhoek flashed his deep ball, but he also made some strong decisions when it came to short-yardage throws. He also faced a lot of pressure when facing the defense, and he…
