We simulated Tennessee football vs. Mississippi State. Who won the game, MVP honors in EA Sports?

It’s Week 11 of football in Tennessee! With the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers (7-1) hosting the Mississippi State Bulldogs (2-7) at Neyland Stadium this weekend, we ran through 100 video game simulations of the classic rivalry to see what the real outcome might be.

Anything can happen in college football. And so far this season, our EA Sports College Football 25 simulations on PS5 have resulted in some exciting − often accurate − possibilities.

This week’s game comes in hot after the College Football Playoff rankings, which debuted the Vols at No. 7.

Tennessee will face off against Mississippi State at 7 p.m. Nov. 9, a time that isn’t available in the game. So, we set kickoff to 8 p.m. and the weather to partially cloudy to match Knoxville’s weather forecast for Saturday at the time of simulating.

The Vols will be wearing the “Summitt Blue” uniforms for the game, which also aren’t available, so we selected the standard home jerseys.

Here’s what EA Sports College Football 25 predicted across 100 simulations for Tennessee vs. Mississippi State.

In this SEC matchup, the Volunteers won an impressive 86 games.

Most of Tennessee’s wins were by large margins, resulting in several blowouts, but UT had only two games that kept Mississippi State off the scoreboard. The first was in Game 85, with a score of 28-0, followed by a score of 19-0 in Game 91.

Mississippi State’s handful of wins were very close, only winning by a field goal in most cases. The Bulldogs’ biggest win came in Game 36 with a score of 40-7.

The No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers will host the Mississippi State Bulldogs this weekend. To prepare, Knox News ran 100 simulations of the matchup on EA Sports College Football 25 to see what the outcome could be before kickoff Nov. 9.
