COLUMBIA, Mo. — It took Theo Wease Jr. forever to get from Faurot Field into Missouri football’s locker room postgame.
Following celebrations with his teammates, the Tigers’ star wide receiver and one of five captains, in his sixth season of collegiate football, kept being called back by screaming fans for high-fives and to autograph Missouri footballs and take selfies. “Being there for four years and going through everything I went through there,” said Wease, who sported an Uno chain and sunglasses during his postgame news conference, “I really just wanted to put everything on the line tonight, just to win for the team.”

After nearly 40 minutes of zero touchdowns from either team, Wease caught a screen pass at the 18-yard line and was off to the races, juking ex-teammate Danny Stutsman and breaking a tackle from Jayden Jackson skipping into the end zone.
Later, down a touchdown with 1:03…
