BOCA RATON — Florida Atlantic football coach Tom Herman said on Tuesday that the staff changes made over the weekend were not easy ones.
“This was not an emotional decision,” Herman said. “It was very difficult. I have a ton of respect for both of these men.”
Amid a sputtering 2-7 season – and winless in American Athletic Conference play – the Owls optedto shake things up for the remainder of the season. On Sunday, it was announced that defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Roc Bellantoni had been fired.
