Missouri football looks like it will be down a key and longtime piece along its offensive line.
Mizzou center Connor Tollison will miss the remainder of the Tigers’ season due to a knee injury, per a report from ESPN college football writer Pete Thamel. Tollison left the field in the second half of MU’s win Saturday over Oklahoma on Faurot Field and did not return to the game.
A Missouri team spokesperson did not confirm the news to the Tribune. Mizzou head coach Eli Drinkwitz will meet with the media Tuesday, and likely will address the reports then.
Tollison has started 34 straight games for Mizzou since winning the job as a redshirt freshman in 2021. The Jackson, Missouri, native has played 582 snaps this season, per PFF College, which ranks third-most among all MU players.
Mizzou is likely to turn to senior Drake Heismeyer for the remainder of the season, if Tollison indeed cannot return to the field. Heismeyer is a Francis Howell High and St. Charles, Missouri, product.

There has been no update on the availability of starting quarterback Brady Cook, who missed Mizzou’s win at Oklahoma. If Drew Pyne and Heismeyer start Missouri’s contest at South Carolina this upcoming Saturday on the road, it will be the first time since a Nov. 26, 2021 contest at Arkansas that neither Tollison nor Cook have been part of the Mizzou offense. Connor Bazelak was the quarterback and Michael Maietti was the center for that game.
