What Wisconsin’s Luke Fickell said about Oregon football ahead of Big Ten matchup

Wisconsin’s Luke Fickell talks about challenges of facing Oregon football

Like many coaches before him, Fickell was incredibly complimentary of Oregon and its No. 1 ranking this season. The coach frequently referred to Oregon’s ranking during his press conference and said the Ducks would be a massive challenge for the Badgers (5-4, 3-3 Big Ten).

“They’re going to be challenged in different ways,” Fickell said of his team. “This one will be one that maybe we haven’t seen the entire year. The Ducks (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) remain one of the best offenses in all of college football and especially in the Big Ten, ranking third in scoring offense (35.7 PPG) and first in total offense (457 yards per game) in the conference.

The Badgers are middling in the Big Ten in most defensive metrics, ranking 10th in scoring defense (21.4 points allowed per game) and ninth in total defense (323.4 yards allowed per game).
