Hurricanes flip blue-chip defensive lineman Hayden Lowe

The Miami Hurricanes got some welcome news on the recruiting trail Wednesday evening.

Four star 2025 defensive lineman Hayden Lowe flipped his commitment from USC to Miami, announcing his decision with On3.

Lowe, who is listed as the No. 17 edge rusher and No. 189 player in 247Sports’ composite rankings, had been committed to the Trojans since June.

Lowe, a standout at Westlake Village (California) Oaks Christian, took an official visit to UM in the summer. He has 52 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. Lowe is listed at 6 foot 4 and 242 pounds, according to 247Sports.

Lowe is the third edge rusher in UM’s class, joining four star Herbert Scroggins and three star Mykah Newton. Miami’s class is ranked 10th in the nation by 247Sports.
