The Illinois High School Football Coaches Associated released its all-state teams for the 2024 season.
It includes 10 players from the Springfield area. Here are the names from the coverage area beginning with Class 6A:

Colten Knoedler, Chatham Glenwood, 6A
The junior quarterback recently went 23 of 31 for 475 yards and six touchdowns in the 49-34 win over Crete-Monee in the playoff opener to set a record for most completions and passing yards in a game while also tying for most touchdowns. Last week, he broke his own record for most passing yards in a season. Altogether, he is 160 of 249 for 2,430 yards and 28 TDs with just three interceptions. He has also rushed for three more scores going into Saturday’s quarterfinal game against top-seeded East St. Louis. Kickoff is 2 p.m.

Brody Scheffler, Springfield High, 6A
The junior quarterback led the Senators to the playoffs completing 139 of 222 passing attempts for 2,083 yards and 17 touchdowns with five picks during the regular season.

Ryan McCombs, Jacksonville, 5A
The 6-5, 285-pound senior lineman allowed the Crimsons to run for nearly 3,400 yards. He also recorded five tackles for loss, including two sacks defensively.
Jake Milliron, Rochester, 4A
