The Colorado State football team has picked up a commitment from an athlete who chose the Rams over Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and others.
Javion Kinnard announced his commitment to CSU on X Wednesday night with a video that begins with an Ole Miss logo before a CSU commitment graphic breaks through.
Kinnard is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound athlete from Pearl-Cohn High School in Nashville, Tennessee.
He had 2,002 all-purpose yards as a senior. Kinnard ran for 885 yards with 12 touchdowns on 105 carries and caught 23 passes for 584 yards with four TDs.
Kinnard is also considered a high-level kick and punt returner.
He was on campus for a visit for CSU’s homecoming win over New Mexico.
Kinnard doesn’t have a star rating from 247Sports, but has reported offers from Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, Toledo, Marshall and others.
