Brian Kelly screams at player, gets yelled at by another in LSU football loss to Florida

The frustrations mounted for LSU football coach Brian Kelly on Saturday night, as he was caught on camera yelling at a player and getting screamed at by another with the Tigers on the verge of losing their third consecutive game.

LSU (6-4, 3-3 SEC) fell to struggling Florida (5-5, 3-4) 27-16 on Saturday night to secure its third straight loss, and will likely fall out of the polls for the first time all season.

Kelly appeared to altercate with receiver Chris Hilton Jr. near the end of the first half, getting into his player’s face with clear frustration. It’s unclear what Kelly said, but those on social media have suggested he said “You are f— uncoachable.”

Later near the end of the third quarter, LSU star receiver Kyren Lacy came off the field yelling at Kelly after the Tigers were forced to punt in a 13-13 game.

It’ll be interesting to see where LSU goes from here after hitting its lowest point of the season, and maybe all of Kelly’s tenure in Baton Rouge thus far.

“This is a simple exercise of do you want to fight or not?” Kelly told reporters after the loss. “Do you want to fight and take responsibility as coaches and players that we’re not playing well and we’re struggling right now? There’s a rough spot here that we have to fight through, and we have to do it together.”

After the game, fight was a consistent word shared by Kelly.

“We’re going to put guys on the field that are going to fight and do everything they can do to correct where we are right now, and that is struggling with consistent execution,” Kelly said. “I think we’ve seen it enough to know we have to be better at as coaches and players.”
