The Georgia Bulldogs are now the No. 8 team in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Georgia and quarterback Carson Beck looked like a national championship contender again in Georgia’s 31-17 win over Tennessee.

Oregon Ducks remain No. 1. The Ohio State Buckeyes are ranked No. 2 and the Texas Longhorns are ranked No. 3. Penn State checks in at No. 4. Undefeated Indiana rounds out the top five at No. 5.

Tennessee dropped to No. 11 after losing to Georgia. The Volunteers were previously ranked No. 4 and are now behind Georgia in the playoff race.

Georgia only rose two spots after beating Tennessee. The Bulldogs would make the College Football Playoff as the No. 10 seed based on these rankings. The third edition of the playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday.

Georgia hosts UMass next week in an easy game for the Bulldogs.
