Michigan football is sitting pretty with 19 commits (though there are predictions that Ivan Taylor will flip to Alabama — with which we concur) and plenty more high profile targets still on the table.
Whether they’re uncommitted prospects or currently pledged to other schools, the Wolverines have put themselves within striking distance of filling the class closer to 25-30 than expected a little over a month ago.
There’s one more home visit weekend coming before early signing day, it will be the final push before Dec. 4. Here is where we believe Michigan football stands with most of the top remaining targets.
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng

The most likely goes first. Michigan football has made Owusu-Boateng perhaps its top priority on the defensive side of the ball. And it’s been paying off.
Notre Dame had surged earlier in his recruitment but Owusu-Boateng continued making visits at his finalists, and Michigan — along with Colorado and Texas — appear to be in the best position for his services. He has a 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction that he’ll end up in Ann Arbor and we agree — but his decision date coming on early signing day feels like a long ways away.

The Wolverines have kept chasing the Oregon commit, and while it’s not over at this juncture, it does appear that if he flips, it will likely be to Penn State.

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman four-star WR Derek Meadows

Meadows didn’t appear open to a flip from LSU but, as if out of nowhere, he set up consecutive visits to Michigan football and Notre Dame. Many have connected him to the possibility of Bryce Underwood flipping, while it would help the Wolverines’…
