The Auburn Tigers (4-6) got back in the win column on Saturday, dismantling Sun Belt opponent UL Monroe in a blowout victory at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Auburn’s offense hummed its way to six touchdowns in the win, including five through the air courtesy of Payton Thorne. The defense did its job as well by allowing just over 200 yards of total offense from the Warhawks. While the win was fantastic to see, it was also heavily expected. Even with the high expectations going into Saturday, some extra bright spots emerged for the Tigers as well. Here are the winners and losers from Auburn’s fourth win of the season.
Winner: Cam Coleman
Auburn Tigers wide receiver Cam Coleman (8) jumps into the end zone for a touchdown after a catch as Auburn Tigers take on Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala., on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024.
Cam Coleman was one of the biggest winners across college football this week. The five-star true freshman went absolutely nuclear in his eighth career contest, catching 8 passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns. The hat trick of scores more than doubled the freshman’s season total (2) coming into the game, and his final one-handed touchdown grab made headlines across social media. The Phenix City, AL native is now up to 392 yards and 5 touchdowns through eight games in his first season on the Plains.
Loser: Penalty Flags
