Report Card: Oklahoma Sooners Ace Alabama challenge

The Oklahoma Sooners came into their week 13 matchup as two-touchdown underdogs against the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide. And the Sooners absolutely dominated the matchup.

From start to finish, OU manhandled the Tide. Wait, let’s say that again. The Sooners absolutely manhandled the Crimson TIde en route to a 24-3 embarrassment of the program that’s been at the top of college football for nearly two decades. They dominated a team that was hoping to secure its place among the expanded field of the College Football Playoff.

The Sooners were the more physical team and the more prepared team. They executed at a higher level and they won the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball. After what the 2024 season has been for the Sooners, none of that was expected. And yet, on senior night in Norman, the Sooners rose to the occasion and provided the vision for what this program is expected to look like under Brent Venables.

The Sooners are now bowl eligible and have a shot at securing a winning season with two games left in 2024.

So, how did the Sooners grade out in the win? Here’s this week’s report card.

Quarterback: A+
