STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football added another defensive player to its 2025 recruiting class.
Ja’Bryis Stewart, a safety from Mississippi Delta Community College, committed to the Bulldogs on Monday night. The three-star flipped his commitment from FIU. He’s the sixth junior college player in the class.
Stewart had one other offer from Old Dominion. He’s from Crystal Springs.
In nine games this season, Stewart led the Trojans with 53 tackles and had three interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Stewart is a three-star, according to 247Sports, but does not have a composite rating. He’s ranked No. 45 nationally, No. 23 in Mississippi and the No. 3 safety in junior college.
MSU has three other safeties in its 2025 recruiting class: four-star Tony Mitchell and three-stars Lo’Kavion Jackson and Sekou Smith Jr.
