Jordyn Woods, a three-star cornerback from Cartersville, Georgia, flipped his commitment from Cincinnati to Ohio State on Monday night.
“I’m home!” he wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
Woods had been committed to join the Bearcats since June before his recruitment by the Buckeyes picked up over the last month.
Jordyn Woods visits OSU the day of the Ohio State Buckeyes’ 38-15 win over the Indiana Hoosiers in an NCAA football game at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024.
He received a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes three weeks ago and visited Columbus for last weekend’s win over Indiana.
Woods is the third cornerback pledged to join Ohio State’s top-ranked class for 2025, which includes two five-star cornerbacks between Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord.
Woods is a lanky cornerback as 247Sports listed him as 6 feet 3 inches and 175 pounds. The website’s composite rankings have him as the 1,273rd overall prospect and 117th cornerback in the nation.
The Buckeyes can begin signing commits when the early signing period begins on Dec. 4.
