The Oregon football team will look to put the finishing touches on its undefeated start in its final regular season home game against Washington this weekend, putting its No. 1 ranking to the test for yet another week.
The Ducks (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) will play the Huskies (6-5, 4-4 Big Ten) at 4:30 p.m. at Autzen Stadium on Saturday.
Here are three keys to a successful outing for Oregon football at home in a rivalry game.

Ducks need to contain Jonah Coleman and Washington run game
Though the Huskies don’t boast a top-half rushing offense in the Big Ten, Oregon coach Dan Lanning had high praise for UW running back Jonah Coleman.
“I think this is as talented a back as we’ve seen, besides (Boise State’s Ashton) Jeanty earlier this season,” Lanning said. “I think they’re both very comparable. He’s a guy, when he gets to the second level, he looks for contact. He breaks more tackles, probably than anyone else we’ve seen, as well … it’s going to take our best effort to get him on the ground.”
Coleman, a junior that followed UW coach Jedd Fisch from Arizona to Washington this season, has rushed for over 1,000 yards this season and has nine touchdowns on the ground. He’s averaging 5.8 yards per carry and will be a focal point for Oregon’s defense Saturday, which ranks ninth in the Big Ten in rushing yards allowed per game.
Oregon football must establish ground game, get passing game back in sync
On the other side of the ball, the Ducks must find a way to get their passing game back into a rhythm after an off couple of games against Maryland and Wisconsin before the bye week.
And they’ll have to do it against one of the top-ranked passing defenses in the Big Ten.
