Mack Sutter will be deep entrenched in college football rivalry week.
The four-star Dunlap tight end, part of the class of 2026, will be in Oxford, Mississippi, on Friday for the Egg Bowl. On Saturday, he will head to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl. He announced both of those unofficial campus visits on social media.
Sutter will be taking in the Mississippi State at Ole Miss game the day after Thanksgiving, followed by an appearance at Alabama, who hosts Auburn on Saturday. Three of those SEC programs — Ole Miss, Alabama and Auburn — are on Sutter’s list of finalists.
Ole Miss and Alabama are both coming off SEC losses, falling to Florida and Oklahoma, respectively.
This will be Sutter’s ninth and 10th unofficial campus visits this fall. He’s been to Illinois twice, Ohio State, Penn State and Iowa, while going to Ole Miss, Auburn and Alabama during the last four months.
Sutter’s final season stats for his junior year included 35 receptions for 505 yards and seven touchdowns in being named all-Mid-Illini Conference first team. The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder also played linebacker with 29 tackles, six sacks, four forced fumbles and a pick-6. He also played one game at quarterback, throwing for 119 yards.
