PISCATAWAY – It’s been a decade since Rutgers football has earned seven wins in a regular season.
The Scarlet Knights have a chance to end that streak on Saturday.
Greg Schiano’s team will head to East Lansing to play Michigan State at Spartan Stadium hoping to improve to 7-5 and close out the regular season on a high note before awaiting its bowl destination.
Rutgers is coming off a heartbreaking 38-31 loss to Illinois on Saturday, but Schiano on Monday said the team had fully turned the page.
His quarterback echoed that sentiment on Tuesday.
“We moved on,” Athan Kaliakmanis said. “We watched the film on Sunday but turned the page and on to Michigan State because they’re a very good football team.”
The Spartans will go into the game with five wins, meaning they need one more for bowl eligibility.
